Heather Turley

Nurse

Heather has worked as a registered nurse for 30 years. 

She has worked in a variety of hospital and community areas from Intensive care to Palliative care. She has a post-graduate certificate in health science. Heather moved to immunology/ allergy in early 2014 and completed the certificate in Allergy Nursing with a distinction pass.

Outside of work, Heather is a mother of three adult children and enjoys her animals and garden on her lifestyle block.

Heather is available on alternate Mondays and Fridays, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She oversees the food and drug challenges, aspirin desensitisation, and immunotherapy. She also does the skin prick tests for allergen identification.

Amy Theakston

Nurse

Amy graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2017. She has had immunology as part of her nursing role since 2018.

Amy has worked in hospital and community areas from Perioperative care to Immunology in both Paediatrics and Adult Health. She has a post-graduate certificate in health science.

Outside of work, Amy is a mother of two young children and enjoys the fullness and joy that the life-stage brings.

Amy is available on alternate Fridays and oversees the food and drug challenges, aspirin desensitisation, and immunotherapy. She also does the skin prick tests for allergen identification

Janice Wells

Personal Assistant

Janice has a considerable history working in medical administration roles, including General Medical Practice, Ophthalmology and now Immunology. She enjoys the challenge and complexity of organising efficient clinics, and the rewards of helping patients access professional opinions and treatments.

Married with two grown-up sons, Janice is surrounded by an extensive circle of family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and jogging in the Eastern beaches area.

Janice is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the clinic.

Stephanie Rowe

Medical Secretary

Stephanie joined the Meditrina team in 2021. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland and experience in customer service.

Steph now divides her time between Meditrina and an ENT clinic, and enjoys how the two roles complement each other.

Stephanie is here on Monday mornings, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Julie Waters

Receptionist

Julie has worked in the health industry for nearly twenty years. 

She began as a Vet Nurse, then became a Phlebotomist with Diagnostic Medlab, moving through to Labtests, and then worked as a donor technician for NZ Blood Service.

Julie has three adult children and six beautiful grandchildren. Her interests are caravanning with her husband and her fur baby Poppy, travelling throughout the North and South Islands, and enjoying catch ups with her family and friends. Cycling and walking tracks are her favourite things to do on her travels.
